Epic Games Store has officially announced the list of games that will be given away for free to users next week. Two titles are Echo Generation: Midnight Edition and Luto, promising diverse experiences ranging from classic adventure to psychological horror.
List of current and upcoming free games
Starting today, Epic Games Store users can claim Nova Lands and Tattoo Tycoon for free. Both games will remain free until July 23rd, giving players about a week to add them to their permanent library.
Shortly after, starting on July 16th, Epic Games will switch to a new giveaway featuring two highly-rated titles on digital game distribution platforms, replacing the current games.
Echo Generation: Midnight Edition – A 90s Adventure
Echo Generation: Midnight Edition is a turn-based adventure game set in Maple Town, a town steeped in 1990s style. Players control a group of children investigating paranormal phenomena, battling monsters, and uncovering the mystery behind a strange plane crash in their hometown.
The game's highlight is its combination of active turn-based combat with exploration and puzzle-solving activities. Players can collect over 30 comic books to unlock new skills, increase stats, and participate in minigames during battles. Additionally, acquiring companion pets with specialized skills is also crucial for overcoming challenges. On Steam, the game currently has a "Very Positive" rating with over 140 votes.
Luto – A haunting psychological horror experience.
Unlike the vibrant energy of Echo Generation, Luto is a psychological horror game that puts the player in the role of a character unable to leave their own home. The game focuses heavily on building atmosphere, tension, and fear from deep within the mind.
Players will explore complex, mysterious spaces while grappling with heavy themes of loss, anxiety, and depression. With its pervasive sense of isolation and fear, Luto is designed for gamers who enjoy role-playing horror games that prioritize storyline and emotion over traditional action. The game currently boasts over 1,160 "Very Positive" reviews on Steam, receiving praise for its atmosphere, storyline, and puzzle-solving system.
Game delivery time
Both Echo Generation: Midnight Edition and Luto will be available for free starting July 16th. Users will have one week to claim the games before the system replaces them with new titles on July 23rd.
