On busy streets like Le Nin, Nguyen Phong Sac, Phung Khac Khoan, and Tue Tinh, amidst heavy traffic, many people still choose to cross the road haphazardly instead of using pedestrian crossings. These hurried steps, seemingly saving a few minutes, can lead to dangerous traffic situations.

The propaganda content will be implemented through many channels such as radio, television, newspapers, and social media; and will also coordinate propaganda at schools, agencies, and offices to raise awareness and form the habit of using the correct lane and crossing the road at designated places. Pedestrians who violate traffic rules can be fined up to 250,000 VND.
Government Decree No. 168/2024/ND-CP (amended and supplemented by Decree No. 238/2026/ND-CP) stipulates administrative penalties for violations of traffic order and safety in the field of road transport; and the deduction and restoration of points on driver's licenses.
Specifically, Article 10 stipulates the penalties for pedestrians who violate road traffic regulations.
A fine of between 150,000 and 250,000 VND will be imposed on pedestrians who commit any of the following violations:
- Not driving in the designated lane; crossing the median; crossing the road at an unauthorized location; crossing the road without using hand signals as required;
- Failure to comply with traffic signals, traffic signs, or road markings, except for violations specified in point a, clause 2 of this Article;
- Failing to comply with the orders or instructions of traffic controllers or traffic police officers.
