Nghe An No. 1 College of Economics and Technology has a new principal.
On the afternoon of July 15th, in Hanoi, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held a conference to announce personnel decisions for seven affiliated vocational education institutions. Accordingly, Dr. Ngo Si Thanh Tung was appointed as the Principal of Nghe An No. 1 College of Economics and Technology.
In his address at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung – Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor – congratulated the new leaders and assigned five key tasks. These included emphasizing the importance of promoting exemplary conduct, improving management capacity, and building a united, democratic, and transparent team. In particular, the school's leadership needs to focus on improving the quality of training, accelerating digital transformation, and closely collaborating with businesses to meet the demands of the labor market.
Nghe An No. 1 College of Economics and Technology, under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, was formerly Nghe An No. 1 Vocational College of Economics and Technology, renamed according to Decision No. 927/QD-BLDTBXH dated June 20, 2017, of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.
Nghe An No. 1 College of Economics and Technology is an educational institution with a 33-year history of development (1993-2026). Throughout this time, the school has consistently excelled in training human resources for society. Graduates consistently find employment and stable incomes. The school strives to become a leading vocational training institution in Nghe An and within the national vocational education system by 2035.
The appointment of the new principal will create new momentum for Nghe An No. 1 College of Economics and Technology to continue innovating, enhancing its reputation, and excellently fulfilling its mission of training high-quality human resources in the digital age.
