The TV series 'CM12 Plan' is ready to be released to the audience.
The television series "CM12 Plan," produced by the Public Security Film Studio, is entering post-production and is ready to be released to audiences during the upcoming major holidays.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Nam Chung, Director of the Public Security Film Department, said that with over 7 months dedicated to production organization and 48 days of filming at various locations in Ho Chi Minh City (city center, Can Gio, Long Hai), and Hon Da Bac (Ca Mau), the production team made every effort to complete the pre-production phase, ensuring the quality of content, images, and sound, and authentically recreating historical events that took place over 40 years ago.
"The film not only recreates the resourceful and heroic struggle of the Vietnamese People's Police force, but also conveys the humane message that the motherland is always forgiving to its misguided children as long as they repent and return to build the country," Lieutenant Colonel Nam Chung shared.

The CM12 plan was a typical case of counter-intelligence warfare, lasting for 8 years (1980-1988) and spanning many provinces in the Southwestern region of Vietnam, focusing on Ca Mau province, and particularly aided by many foreign organizations.
"The United Front of Patriotic Forces for the Liberation of Vietnam" was the name of the exiled reactionary organization led by Le Quoc Tuy and Mai Van Hanh, which organized numerous plans to infiltrate Vietnam, secretly bringing in spies, commandos, and weapons from abroad, linking with anti-government organizations domestically, and instigating riots to seize power in various regions, ultimately leading to a nationwide coup.
The Ministry of Public Security stated: "The victory of Plan CM12 was one of the best, largest, and safest battles since the complete liberation of the South. It was a victory of the intelligence, courage, and extraordinary creativity of the People's Public Security forces; in which, the People's Security forces played the leading role."
The television series "CM12 Plan" was inspired by this very case and was supported and eagerly awaited by the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and many generations of officers and soldiers in the force.

Film director Pham Trung Hieu said that during the filming of "Operation CM12," the challenge for the production team was not the large-scale scenes of capture and combat, but rather portraying the psychological and emotional development of the characters.
According to director Trung Hieu, the film crew arranged for the main actors to thoroughly research the case, meet with historical witnesses, including key figures who were later awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces. "Thanks to listening to the stories of these veterans, understanding the hardships, difficulties, and crucial elements that led to the success of this historic plan, the actors were able to brilliantly portray the film's objectives. We hope that the efforts of the actors and the film crew will be well-received by the audience when the film is released," said director Duy Linh.
After successfully completing filming, the directors are now urgently proceeding with editing, alongside post-production work such as composing music, dubbing, color grading, and finalizing the songs in the film.
After post-production is complete, the film will be broadcast to audiences on national essential television channels, local television stations, and OTT platforms.
