The upward momentum from VHM shares helped the VN-Index maintain a slight gain, while ACC became the center of attention as it hit the ceiling price after a series of 12 consecutive sessions of falling to the floor price.

Opening the trading session on the morning of July 29th, the VN-Index fluctuated continuously around the reference point, reversing direction several times amidst a divergent flow of capital and a cautious sentiment still prevailing in the market.

After more than an hour of trading, the VN-Index rose nearly 3 points, mainly thanks to support from VHM shares, which increased by over 3%. Meanwhile, key sectors continued to trade quite mixed. The securities sector was one of the few bright spots, with VCI rising by about 3%, and SSI edging up by more than 1.5%.

Notably, ACC shares unexpectedly became the center of attention after ending a streak of 12 consecutive sessions of falling to the floor price. Strong buying pressure helped the stock surge to its ceiling price of 4,830 VND/share. Trading volume reached nearly 5.5 million units, ranking 5th in the entire market, while also recording a "no sellers" status.

The real estate sector showed divergence, with VIC (-0.09%), VHM (+4.09%), VPI (+1.27%), VRE (+1.41%), DIG (+0.3%), KDH (-0.59%), and NVL (-2.7%). Similarly, the financial services sector also saw divergence, with SSI (+0.22%), VIX (-1.22%), VCI (+2.54%), VND (-0.61%), and MBS (-1.69%).

The banking sector was mostly in the red, with SHB (-1.31%), ACB (-1.11%), HDB (-2.39%), VPB (-1.42%), and LPB (-1.68%).

At the close of this morning's trading session, the VN-Index rose 3.56 points to 1,684.18 points (+0.21%) compared to the previous session. Similarly, the HNX-Index increased by 271.15 points (+0.63%), equivalent to 1.7 points. Meanwhile, the UPCoM-Index decreased by 125.25 points (-0.39%), equivalent to 0.49 points.

Market liquidity reached VND 5,771.53 billion, with 219,000 shares traded. Across the sector, 124 stocks increased, 168 decreased, and 47 fell to their reference price.

According to experts at AIS Securities Company, the VN-Index recorded a slight recovery session, maintaining the 1,650-point level - sending a positive signal about a short-term technical rebound as many price strength indicators are in the oversold zone.

The widespread green color reinforces investor confidence as capital is actively returning, seeking profits in sectors that have experienced significant declines (especially stocks and real estate).

From a technical perspective, the RSI price strength indicator is gradually improving from the oversold zone, increasing the probability of a short-term recovery scenario. The market needs to quickly reclaim the 1,700-point mark to confirm that this recovery is sustainable.

Investors should take advantage of this upward trend to review their portfolios, prioritizing holdings of stocks that are attracting capital inflows and maintaining a tight risk management strategy.
