Nghe An province has updated more than 2.2 million land parcels on the national database system.
On the afternoon of July 29th, Comrade Phung Thanh Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - chaired an online meeting between the Provincial Steering Committee and relevant departments and localities to expedite the implementation of the land database.

To date, Nghe An province has completed the digital cadastral mapping in all 130 communes and wards, covering over 4.1 million land parcels. However, only over 2.2 million parcels have been updated to the national land database, leaving over 1.8 million parcels without data, while only three months remain until completion. Specifically, all data must be compiled before October 31, 2026; November and December 2026 will be dedicated to ensuring the data is "accurate, complete, clean, and up-to-date."
At the meeting, localities, especially those with low implementation rates and slow progress, reported and proposed solutions to create positive changes in the future.
Some opinions at the meeting suggested launching a "Land Database Construction" emulation movement in the area; prioritizing the concentration of human resources and accelerating deployment to hamlets and villages to scan land certificates; guiding people in carrying out land registration procedures; and focusing on coordinating with the commune-level police to clean up data for land parcels.
Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phung Thanh Vinh pointed out existing shortcomings and limitations; and emphasized the fact that more than 1.8 million land parcels lack land data.
Accordingly, members of the Provincial Steering Committee must increase their visits to the areas under their responsibility to inspect and supervise the implementation at the grassroots level. If any problems arise that are beyond their authority, they must report them immediately for timely resolution.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment - the lead agency - to focus on directing the standardization of land data between the Land Registration Office and the communes; concentrate resources, and if necessary, hire experts to accelerate progress and complete the objectives during this peak period. The results must be updated according to the prescribed timeframe.
The police force is mobilizing its maximum resources to cross-check and match information for the public.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee agreed that all communes and wards must understand this as a campaign, strengthen their presence in the area, and conduct inspections and supervision. To proactively meet the completion deadline, localities need to inform the people of the deadline so that they can cooperate and strictly comply with the implementation.
Nghe An province plans to incorporate the digitalization of land data into its KPIs for evaluating each locality as early as the third quarter of 2026.
