Ban Ang hydropower plant releases water to regulate reservoir levels.

On the evening of August 5th, the Provincial Civil Defense Command issued Notice No. 43/TB-BCH regarding the operation and water regulation of the Ban Ang hydroelectric reservoir.

Accordingly, to ensure the safe operation of the Ban Ang hydropower reservoir in accordance with the approved single-reservoir and multi-reservoir operating procedures on the Ca River basin, and given the hydrological conditions at the site, Nam Mo and Nam Non Hydropower Joint Stock Company plans to regulate water levels in the Ban Ang hydropower reservoir from 1:30 AM on August 6, 2026.

Total discharge flowestimated at approximately 200m3/s up to 500m3/s (including discharge through spillway gates and power generation units) and may vary depending on inflow into the reservoir.

Time for water discharge through the spillway gates to end:When the water inflow into the reservoir is less than the water flow generated by the turbines.

The Provincial Civil Defense Command hereby informs the People's Committee of Tuong Duong Commune and the heads of provincial departments and agencies to notify all levels of government, agencies, units, investors currently constructing along and on the river, owners of water transport vehicles, and all people in the downstream area of ​​the Ban Ang Hydropower Plant to implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of lives and property of the State and the people.
