Teacher training programs see a decrease in admission scores.

On the afternoon of August 10th,Vinh Universityannouncedadmission scoreThe first round of regular university admissions in 2026 shows a clear differentiation in admission scores across majors, with teacher training programs having the highest scores.

Compared to 2025, the admission scores for teacher training programs have also changed significantly. Specifically, in previous years, teacher training programs in social sciences had the highest admission scores, but this year, Mathematics Education (talent program) has the highest admission score with 26.5 points. Following that, Mathematics Education requires 25.5 points; Literature Education requires 25.85 points; and History Education requires 26.15 points. The cutoff scores were 25.25 for Geography Education and 25.15 for Physics Education. These cutoff scores are lower than last year by 0.5 to over 2 points.

Teacher training programs with admission scores below 25 points include: Primary Education (24.55 points); Chemistry Education (24.75 points); Natural Science Education and English Education (both 24.5 points). The lowest scores in the teacher training group are National Defense and Security Education (21 points) and Computer Science Education (22 points).

In the remaining majors, the two majors with the highest scores were Chinese Language and Accounting, both requiring 22 points.

Meanwhile, majors such as Control and Automation Engineering Technology required 21.5 points; Marketing, Public Administration, and Social Work both required 21 points; Business Administration required 20.75 points; E-commerce and Control and Automation Engineering both required 20.5 points; majors requiring 20 points were concentrated in the fields of law, cultural management, and educational management. Majors in the economics and construction sectors required 17-18 points. The lowest-scoring majors, reaching the minimum threshold for university admission, were those in animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, aquaculture, and resource and environmental management, with scores ranging from 15-16 points.

Many majors have admission scores equal to the quality assurance threshold.

Earlier this morning,Vinh Medical UniversityThe admission scores were also announced. Accordingly, in the method of considering high school graduation exam results, the Medical program had the highest admission score with 23.5 points. Next was the Medical Laboratory Technology program with 23.25 points.

The remaining majors have the following admission scores: Pharmacy 20 points; Nursing 19 points; Preventive Medicine 18 points. The Nursing bridging program has an admission score of 15 points.

Thus, compared to the previous academic year, the admission scores for Vinh Medical University are higher by 0.5 to over 3 points, with the highest increase being in Medical Laboratory Technology, rising from 20 to 23.25 points; the Medical program also increased by 1.4 points compared to last year.

LIVENghe An University,The major with the highest cutoff score is Chinese Language with 23.25 points, followed by Logistics and Supply Chain Management with 18.85 points, and English Language with 18 points; the remaining majors have cutoff scores ranging from 15 to 16 points.

This year, Nghe An University is also recruiting for two teacher training programs: Primary Education with a cutoff score of 23 points and Natural Science Education with a cutoff score of 20 points. For the Early Childhood Education program, the university is recruiting for the college-level program with a cutoff score of 20.75 points.

At Vinh University of Technology(formerly Vinh University of Technology and Education), this year the school is implementing three admission methods: based on the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam, based on high school academic performance (transcript), and based on the results of the 2026 aptitude test of Hanoi University of Education and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Based on high school graduation exam scores, the major with the highest cutoff score is Control and Automation Engineering Technology with 22.50 points. This is followed by Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology with 21.50 points; Automotive Technology and Technology Education both with 20 points; Mechatronics Engineering Technology with 19.20 points; and Mechanical Engineering Technology with 18.20 points.
