If you only have one day to explore the distinctive destinations of Nghe An, don't miss the Vinh - Uncle Ho's birthplace - Cua Lo urban axis; the journey is just enough to experience many nuances of local culture.
Start your day at Ho Chi Minh Square.

Ho Chi Minh Square is a symbol of pride and a "source" that nourishes the soul of the people of Nghe An province. It is notable for the Ho Chi Minh Monument, with a lush green replica of Chung Mountain behind it and a peaceful square of 99 grassy plots.
This destination boasts a magical blend of the solemnity of national monuments and the warmth of everyday life. Immerse yourself in the vibrant red of flags and flowers during National Day celebrations, or feel the peaceful "green lung" right in the heart of the ambitious city of Vinh.
Breakfast
Authentic Turmeric flavor

Around the square, visitors can easily find restaurants serving authentic Nghe An cuisine. A steaming bowl of flavorful eel soup, served with bread or rice noodles; or a bowl of eel porridge fragrant with onions and pepper is a comforting choice after a stroll through the streets. For first-time visitors to Nghe An, this is a simple way to experience the local cuisine right from the start of the day!
Dung Quyet Mountain -
green lungs of
Vinh city

Located in the heart of Vinh city, Dung Quyet Mountain is not only a green space for sightseeing but also a landmark with a special historical significance. In 1788, Emperor Quang Trung chose the Yen Truong area, between Dung Quyet Mountain and Ky Lan Mountain, to build Phuong Hoang Trung Do, with the vision of making it the new capital. Today, the green paths around the mountain, with their well-maintained spaces, are perfect for strolling, taking photos, and experiencing Vinh, a city rich in history and constantly changing.
About Kim Lien
Visiting Uncle Ho's hometown

Leaving Vinh city, the journey heads towards Kim Lien - the birthplace of President Ho Chi Minh. This destination holds special significance; it's not just a tourist attraction, but also a place for reflection, learning more about the origins, history, and values that have shaped the identity of Nghe An.
Recharge
with the taste of my homeland, Nghe An

After a morning of traveling and sightseeing, around 12 noon is a good time to return to Vinh city for lunch. It's not necessary to choose an expensive restaurant; visitors can continue exploring local cuisine with familiar dishes from Nghe An province such as Thanh Chuong chicken, fermented bamboo shoots, pickled vegetables, braised olives, stir-fried clams, etc. After lunch, spend about an hour "recharging" at the many relaxing cafes easily found along the streets.
Meeting point
history, culture

In the afternoon, dedicate time to a historical and cultural landmark: the Nghe An - Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum. Visitors can pause to admire the artifacts, documents, and stories preserved there. The space offers many ideal spots for taking photos, and the stories of our ancestors are conveyed in a very emotional, visual, and modern way. Along Dao Tan Street, visitors can also admire and capture memories of the ancient city gate.
Cua Lo, the sea beckons.

As the sun sets, leave the city of Vinh and head towards Cua Lo beach. If you're not too keen on the monotonous atmosphere of a hotel room, try experiencing the fresh, modern, and colorful ambiance of a homestay. Homestay rental services are booming in Cua Lo, offering many attractive options at affordable prices.
If you don't want to miss the lively atmosphere and the magnificent sunset, be sure to change into your beach attire and head straight to the beach upon arrival. For families with young children, you can add an experience at Vin Wonder Cua Hoi Water Park with its many exciting games.
Seafood, music
and a "chill" night

After a swim in the sea, it's the perfect time for visitors to recharge with a delicious seafood meal. If there's a music program and a bonfire, this is the ideal time for the whole group to gather, enjoy the food, listen to music, and enjoy the outdoors. After a day of continuous travel, these relaxing experiences help shift the pace of the trip completely, allowing you to fully enjoy a peaceful night in the seaside town.
Hunting
Specialty dish: fresh squid

After dinner, take a ride on an electric buggy to the final stop: the flashing squid market. Without tents or tables and chairs, the market is unique, illuminated by flashlights shining on tubs of live squid that have just arrived ashore, their bodies constantly flashing with bright lights. Here, squid isn't sold by weight but in bundles, with prices negotiated directly. You can ask the locals to prepare it on the spot to enjoy its sweet, crispy, and authentic taste of the sea!
Paddleboarding
sunrise over the sea

After spending 24 hours exploring Nghe An, try this once the next morning.SUP paddlingWhile the seaside town is still asleep, from a gently floating SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboard), you'll be greeted by the first rays of sunshine amidst the expansive sea and sky, listening to the sound of the waves and feeling the youthful, vibrant energy of Cua Lo. This is also a fun experience to exercise, relax, and create unforgettable memories.
