During those historic August days, every Vietnamese citizen feels a deep sense of pride and emotion remembering that autumn when the entire nation rose up to shatter the shackles of colonialism and feudalism, winning independence and freedom. On the morning of September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

Eighty-one autumns have passed, and under the glorious banner of the Party, our country and homeland have experienced countless ups and downs, leaving a profound mark on the new era, the Ho Chi Minh era. And another autumn is coming. Vietnam is entering a new era of development, strength, and prosperity.
As a land rich in revolutionary cultural traditions and the birthplace of the beloved President Ho Chi Minh, Nghe An province today is vastly different, with new movements and aspirations. This change is not just reflected in official documents and reports; it is evident every day, stemming from newly formed projects, new capital flows, newly unlocked resources, and the exploration of existing potentials.

But most importantly, it's the changes from within the entire political system, the groundbreaking thinking, the courage to think outside the box, the decisive actions for the development of the homeland. In the first six months of 2026, GRDP increased by 9.65%, the highest since 2012, ranking 12th out of 43 provinces and cities and 2nd in the North Central region. Exports reached US$3.15 billion, budget revenue exceeded VND 17,000 billion, and investment attracted over US$2.4 billion, ranking in the Top 5 nationwide for the first time.
Nghe An, once known for its vast area, large population, abundant human resources, rich cultural traditions, and development potential, yet still considered poor, is now gradually positioning itself as a province undergoing rapid and decisive transformation, aiming to become a national-level growth pole. Along with the announcement of the revised provincial planning for the period 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050, a series of key projects are being implemented, such as: the Quynh Lap LNG Thermal Power Plant; the Cua Lo Deepwater Port; the Vinh - Thanh Thuy Expressway; VSIP 2 and 3 Industrial Parks; the upgrading of Vinh International Airport; and urban and commercial areas with investments totaling hundreds of trillions of VND…

Nghe An is building infrastructure for the future, creating new runways for growth to take off. What is encouraging is that Nghe An today is not only affirmed by growth figures and tangible projects, but more importantly, by breakthroughs in vision, governance capacity, and institutional reform. Strong policy decisions have created high consensus in policies, resolutions, and in each specific, practical program and action.
The law enforcement team has been infused with renewed energy through dedication, commitment, and responsibility, prioritizing the interests of the people and businesses above all else. Ultimately, economic growth only truly has meaning when the values of science, technology, and digital transformation are applied and increasingly incorporated into each product; when the material and spiritual lives of the people, especially in remote areas, are improved; and when cultural values, national identity, and the living environment are preserved. The questions—What new values can Nghe An create? What high-quality products, technologies, services, and human resources can compete?—must always be addressed and resolved.

This autumn is different. A steadfast Nghe An has overcome the challenges of a land with harsh natural conditions. A Nghe An that boldly reaches out to the wider world, integrating with the powerful currents of the times, ready to transform potential into strength, aspirations into action, so that today's changes become the foundation of sustainable future development...
