Putin: 'Cannot rule out the possibility of terrorism in the train station explosion'
Russian President Vladimir Putin did not rule out the possibility of terrorism in the explosions that occurred at two metro stations in the city of St Petersburg.

"I spoke with the head of Russian special services. They are determining the cause (of the explosions)," Reuters quoted Russian President Vladimir Putin as saying today. "The cause is not yet known. We will consider all possibilities, including terrorism and ordinary crime."
The explosions occurred at 2:40 p.m. today at two metro stations, Sennaya and Technical Institute, in St Petersburg, killing at least 10 people and injuring 50. Russia has safely evacuated the remaining passengers and increased security at metro stations in the city.
Russian authorities will take all necessary measures to assist the injured, according to President Putin.
