


Going to Que Phong today, it is easy to see that many large-scale projects have been and are being built synchronously, creating a new look for this mountainous, border district.
Right in the center of the district is the Kim Son town water plant with a total construction investment of nearly 42 billion VND, officially completed in 2017; operating and supplying clean water to more than 2,800 people in the town and some customers in Muong Noc and Tien Phong communes. Also in Kim Son town, the Que Phong district waste treatment project has been prioritized by all levels for capital in 2021-2022 to speed up progress, completed and put into use in the first quarter of 2023, as a waste treatment facility for Kim Son town and neighboring communes Tien Phong, Muong Noc, Chau Kim... This is a project with a total investment of nearly 55.5 billion VND on an area of nearly 20,000m2.2.

With the characteristics of a mountainous district with complex terrain conditions, Que Phong pays special attention to building infrastructure of electricity - roads - schools - stations, considering this as a "lever" to promote economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction. For example, in the field of transportation, it is possible to mention the upgrading of Provincial Road 544B; upgrading and renovating national highways passing through the district, eliminating black spots of traffic accidents; inter-commune, village and hamlet road system with a hardening rate of over 95%, increasing connectivity, creating convenience for people and businesses.

Regarding grid infrastructure, taking advantage of investment resources in the 2020-2023 period, Que Phong district has had 11 more villages and hamlets in particularly difficult areas connected to the national grid, raising the rate of people using the national grid to more than 98%.
Socialization has achieved many positive results, especially in the field of education. The district has received the support of many organizations and individuals inside and outside the province, contributing to the construction of an increasingly spacious system of school facilities and classrooms. These include the Boarding House for students of Tri Le Primary School with a total investment of more than 15 billion VND sponsored by TECCO Group; the system of functional classrooms, subject classrooms, and auxiliary rooms at schools in extremely disadvantaged areas...

Along with mobilizing capital sources, Que Phong district also pays special attention to attracting investment to develop and build infrastructure. For example, Kim Son market project was put into use at the end of July 2021, with a spacious and modern appearance, a bright spot in attracting investment in the area.
The market has a scale of more than 6,000 m2With a total investment of 101.46 billion VND, planning 389 kiosks from 1-3 floors with modern design, located in a prime location at the intersection of National Highway 16 and Provincial Road 544B - the main commercial area of Que Phong district, playing a role in promoting the socio-economic development of the town and neighboring areas, while creating great attraction for customers and tourists from all over. The project is not only in line with the guidelines and policies of the Party and State, but also meets the expectations of the people and traders here.


According to the assessment results of the current status of socio-economic development and socio-economic infrastructure in Que Phong district, from 2010 to present, the capital for investment in technical infrastructure construction has reached 3,400 billion VND. Up to now, 100% of communes and towns have asphalt roads and national grid electricity to the commune center; the rate of solid and semi-solid classrooms has reached 85%...
Many key projects from the budget have been completed and put into use, such as: District Boarding Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities; Factory and water supply system in the central area of the district; Truong Banh irrigation canal system, Huu Van irrigation, Muong Pang irrigation, Cam village irrigation; Nam Tot combined irrigation and domestic water system, district waste treatment site, national grid electricity for 11 villages and hamlets; major traffic works, people's bridge system in some communes... Along with that, non-budget investment projects such as Kim Son market with a total investment of more than 100 billion VND; Community tourism and cultural conservation area of Thai ethnic people by Community Tourism Conservation and Development Company Limited, with a total investment of 19.95 billion VND.


Mr. Duong Hoang Vu - Chairman of Que Phong District People's Committee said: With the goal of rapid and sustainable socio-economic development, associated with economic restructuring towards reducing the proportion of agriculture, increasing the proportion of industry, construction and services, in the development direction, building the socio-economic infrastructure of Que Phong district in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the district identifies strategic breakthroughs in the period of 2021-2030 as focusing on developing a synchronous socio-economic infrastructure system, in which priority is given to developing transport infrastructure, tourist areas, border trade infrastructure and infrastructure applying information technology - communications to create conditions for people and businesses to easily and equally access development opportunities to create momentum for growth.

Accordingly, in order to achieve the goal of synchronous infrastructure development in many fields, along with maximizing internal resources, Que Phong determined to effectively utilize external resources to accelerate the progress of investment in building infrastructure systems. Therefore, the district will continue to improve the investment environment associated with promoting administrative procedure reform, creating the best conditions to support businesses when implementing investment projects in the district; creating a favorable business environment for businesses, cooperatives, farm economy and household economy to develop.
Along with that, the district will continue to effectively implement the policy of creating capital from land funds to build infrastructure; effectively implement the policy of socializing investment in developing education, health, culture, information, physical education and sports. At the same time, the locality will strengthen inspection and appraisal work, have sanctions to promptly handle violations in the quality of construction works, attach importance to maintenance work, prevent deterioration...
