Which country experiences the most cyberattacks in the world?
In an interview with RIA Novosti, Anna Kulashova, CEO of Kaspersky Lab in Russia and the CIS, stated that Russia has suffered more cyberattacks than any other country in the past two and a half years.

According to the executive, more than half of Kaspersky Lab's product users in Russia were targeted by hackers in the first eight months of this year. She noted that governments and financial institutions, as well as telecommunications, media, and industry, are the most common targets of cybercriminals.
"Hackers can exploit vulnerabilities in public applications and steal login credentials, which can be obtained through password cracking, including through smaller companies acting as contractors for larger businesses, thereby harming organizations," Kulashova said.
She noted that a pressing challenge is posed by hacktivism, in which cybercriminals damage businesses to draw attention to social or political issues, but most cyberattacks are carried out for financial or espionage purposes.
Kulashova recalled that in July, Kaspersky Lab detected two targeted email attacks targeting businesses in Russia, containing malicious software or links. These files were sent to approximately 1,000 employees in the manufacturing, finance, and energy sectors, as well as government employees. In the event of a successful attack, cybercriminals could remotely access computers and download confidential files and documents, she explained.
Kulashova also stated that the hackers carried out a series of sophisticated targeted attacks on Russian IT companies and government agencies.
She pointed out that the campaign, using malware and public cloud infrastructure such as Yandex Cloud and Dropbox, aimed to steal confidential information.
