Uran-9 has been equipped by Russia with both state-of-the-art technology and weapons. To perform long-range reconnaissance and fire support missions, the Uran-9 combat complex is designed to include two reconnaissance and fire support robots, a tractor for transport and a mobile control station.
These robots are equipped with a very powerful firepower system, including a 30mm 2A72 automatic cannon mounted with a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, and M120 Ataka anti-tank guided missiles. With export versions, the weapon system structure can be changed depending on customer requirements.
The two most outstanding features of the Uran-9 are that this Robot is equipped with a laser control system, and the Ataka missile allows it to engage in combat and is capable of destroying the most modern battle tanks at a distance of up to 8,000m.
