(Baonghean.vn) – The theme of the creative campaign focuses on reflecting the achievements that the Party Committee and people of Nghe An have achieved in all areas of life, especially the achievements during the renovation period.

In order to select new compositions to serve the major holidays of 2018 - 2020 and encourage people in the process of labor, production, and construction of Nghe An to become a model province as Uncle Ho always wished, on December 27, 2017, the Department of Culture and Sports organized the Launching Ceremony of composing songs about Nghe An homeland.

At the launching ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the theme of the creative campaign focusing on reflecting the great achievements that the Party Committee and people of Nghe An have strived to achieve in all areas of life, especially the achievements during the renovation period.

At the same time, it reflects the cultural identity of the six ethnic groups living together in the area, praising the landscape, people, potential and strengths of the homeland.

Encourage compositions developed on folk songs of Nghe An and ethnic minorities; social topics of interest such as environmental protection, calling for investment, national solidarity in the trend of integration and sustainable development.

Besides, encourage musicians to explore, create and come up with new ideas in musical structure, lyrics, performance methods...

Participants are professional and non-professional musicians in and outside the province, overseas Vietnamese. Each author is allowed to submit 2 works. Eligible works are those that have not been published in any form and have no copyright disputes. The Organizing Committee has the right to use the winning works for propaganda activities in any form.

Regarding the prize structure, there is 1 First prize worth 40 million VND; 2 Second prizes, each worth 30 million VND; 3 Third prizes, each worth 20 million VND; 5 Consolation prizes, each worth 10 million VND.

Also at the launching ceremony, the musicians shared their thoughts and feelings about the advantages and difficulties in the composition process, especially the exploitation of Nghe folk songs which have been done by many people before, making it difficult to explore and discover new things. However, all the musicians are determined to promote their talents and strengths to create the best works.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, comrade Tran Quoc Khanh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, member of the Organizing Committee, encouraged the musicians to continue to stay close to life, discover the beauty of nature and people of Nghe An and reflect deeply and boldly in their compositions, to have songs about Nghe An homeland with high quality in content and art.

The Organizing Committee accepts entries from January 1, 2018 to September 30, 2018.
