Xuan Truong's story and the dream of Vietnamese players going abroad

Buriram United finally did what Vietnamese fans have been waiting for, which is to terminate the contract with Luong Xuan Truong early. The midfielder of the Vietnamese national team had a 4-month adventure in the Thai League and it was truly an unforgettable experience for him.
In Thailand, Xuan Truong played 9 matches but his mark was only 1 goal and 1 assist. In fact, at Buriram United, Luong Xuan Truong still showed the appearance of a big star of Vietnamese football. Xuan Truong's only goal was a classy free kick that made the whole Thai League admire, while the assist for his teammate to score in the AFC Champions League was a situation that demonstrated the vision and excellent passing skills of the talented midfielder trained at HAGL JMG.

Xuan Truong could not show his qualities in Buriram partly because of the loneliness he had to face. In addition, Xuan Truong was rarely given the opportunity to play in the official lineup. Xuan Truong was only a supporting player in the Thai team, which was different when he played in the mountain town of HAGL.
After the King's Cup, things got worse for the midfielder from Tuyen Quang. And when asked about his time playing in Thailand, midfielder Tuyen Quang was very frank: “The time playing in Thailand was a valuable experience for me. In the Buriram squad, there are many good players and if I want to play more, I have to try harder. Thailand, Korea, and Japan all have different difficulties. In the middle, we have to be independent and take care of ourselves. They are all friendly teammates, but in the end, the teammates in the Vietnam National Team are still the best.”
