Strengthening crime suppression, preventing counterfeit goods during Tet
(Baonghean.vn) - This is one of the key tasks that the Provincial Party Standing Committee has directed the Internal Affairs sectors to perform well to ensure social security, so that people can celebrate Tet happily and peacefully.
On the morning of February 6, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a meeting of the Internal Affairs bloc for February 2018. Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee chaired the meeting.
Reporting at the conference, the leader of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee said that in January, the departments in the Internal Affairs sector had well implemented the tasks of the unit. The armed forces strictly maintained combat readiness, ensured safety during major holidays in the month, and promptly grasped the situation at the grassroots level.

The authorities have proactively grasped the situation, advised the Party Committee and the government to effectively resolve cases related to Catholicism, disputes and complaints among the people, preventing complications and forming "hot spots" of security and order, ensuring safety for major political and social events in the area.
Crime prevention and suppression work has been vigorously implemented, the rate of investigation of cases violating social order and safety is high (83.9%); many major economic and drug cases have been solved, and a large amount of evidence has been seized. State management of security and order continues to be strengthened, and traffic accidents have decreased.
In January, the sectors detected 81 cases of social order violations; 123 drug crimes, arrested 149 subjects, seized 4.4 kg of heroin, 11.5 kg of crystal meth and 615 MTTH pills. Regarding economic and environmental crimes and violations, 420 cases and 475 subjects were detected and arrested, and 2.3 tons of firecrackers were seized. During the month, 14 traffic accidents also occurred, killing 8 people and injuring 16 people; 117 cases and 432 gambling subjects were arrested, and 825 million VND was seized.
The two-level prosecution agencies have strengthened coordination in investigating, prosecuting, and trying all types of cases, especially major drug cases and cases directed by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee such as the cases of Hoang Duc Binh and Nguyen Nam Phong...

However, the security and order situation still has complicated incidents such as encroachment, transfer, and illegal construction of religious works in the area. Economic and environmental crimes and gambling are on the rise. Illegal trading, commercial fraud, smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, acts related to food safety and hygiene, illegal drug trafficking, and firecrackers during the Lunar New Year tend to increase compared to last month.
In February 2018, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee directed the armed forces to continue maintaining combat readiness, strengthen and do a good job of internal political protection, and ensure safety for political and cultural events taking place in the area, especially during the 2018 Lunar New Year.
At the same time, strengthen information gathering, coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure security in all areas; promote crime prevention and control, launch high-profile campaigns to crack down on all types of crimes; strengthen the prevention and control of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, transportation and use of firecrackers.

Internal affairs agencies also focused on resolving cases and lawsuits that were directed by the Provincial Party Standing Committee at previous meetings. Continue to consolidate evidence, speed up the handling of the cases of Hoang Duc Binh, Le Dinh Luong, Nguyen Viet Dung, Nguyen Nam Phong to bring them to a strict trial in accordance with the law.
