Approving the leadership of the People's Council and People's Committee of Nghe An province for the 2021 - 2026 term

(Baonghean.vn) - The National Assembly Standing Committee has approved the election results of the Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the People's Council of Nghe An province for the 18th term. The Prime Minister has also approved the election results of the Chairman and Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee of Nghe An province for the 2021-2026 term.

The second session of the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council is scheduled to take place over two days; the specific time will be arranged between August 12 and 16, 2021. The opening and discussion sessions in the hall and the closing session will be broadcast live. The session will also receive opinions and recommendations from voters via the online telephone hotline system.

According to the leaders of the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, it is expected that the Standing Committee, the Provincial People's Council Committees, the Provincial People's Committee and related sectors will submit to the meeting for consideration 24 reports, including a report on the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic in the province, which the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council requested to be added to the program.

The meeting is also expected to consider and approve 24 resolutions, of which the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council prepares and submits 5 resolutions; the Provincial People's Committee prepares and submits 17 resolutions, and relevant sectors prepare and submit 2 resolutions.

The pre-session voter contact conference is scheduled to take place from July 21-22, 2021 and the post-session voter contact conference is scheduled from August 19-26, 2021.

At the joint meeting this morning, opinions basically agreed with the content presented by the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council; at the same time, a number of contents related to the preparation work were discussed.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu informed the progress of preparing the contents of the report and draft resolution submitted by the Provincial People's Committee. Accordingly, up to now, it has basically been fully prepared to submit to the Provincial People's Council Committees for review.

At the meeting, based on discussion, the conference agreed that the session would listen to 24 reports and consider 23 draft resolutions, reducing 1 resolution compared to the original submission to ensure the process and quality of drafting.

Concluding this content, to prepare well for the meeting, comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee, the Office and Committees of the Provincial People's Council, and assigned sectors to prepare reports and submissions to ensure the time schedule and strict content.

In addition, the Provincial People's Council Committees need to prepare to review the submissions in accordance with the procedures and regulations on both time schedule and content. Especially during the review process, the Heads and Members of the People's Council Committees must have in-depth and practical comments, in a constructive spirit, in coordination and sharing with the submitting agency.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also requested that, after completing the assessment, the Provincial People's Council Committees review and report back to remind agencies and units to prepare reports and submissions that do not comply with regulations (if any).

In the context of the Covid-19 epidemic, the plan to meet voters must depend on the situation in each locality to have appropriate methods, especially in areas with epidemics, implementing medical isolation, social distancing such as through documents, online forms;... The Office of National Assembly Deputies and the Provincial People's Council must closely monitor the situation to advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also requested to organize training for delegates participating in the Provincial People's Council for the first time, especially on how to contact voters; at the same time, relevant units need to consider, calculate, build, and move towards organizing effective ways to contact voters, such as: organizing conferences to contact voters before the sessions of National Assembly delegates and People's Councils at all levels at the same time...

Nghe An: No delegates from executive agencies to be members of the 18th Provincial People's Council Committees
