President Biden doubts peaceful transfer of power if Trump loses
President Joe Biden doubts the peaceful transfer of power in the US, if candidate Donald Trump loses the election.

According to RIA Novosti on August 8, in an interview with CBS News, US President Joe Biden said he had doubts about a peaceful transfer of power if former US President Donald Trump lost the election in November.
“If Mr. Trump wins, that’s fine. If Mr. Trump loses, I’m not at all sure about the peaceful transfer of power in January 2025,” President Joe Biden said.
The US presidential election will take place on November 5. Former President Donald Trump has been officially nominated by the Republican Party as its presidential candidate.
Many people thought that President Biden would definitely be the Democratic candidate in the race for the White House. However, on July 21, Mr. Biden decided to withdraw and support the nomination of Vice President Kamala Harris as the official candidate.
According to RIA Novosti, President Joe Biden's doubts about the transfer of power are well-founded, because on January 6, 2021, Trump supporters attacked Capitol Hill, disrupting the work of Congress for several hours. The reason was dissatisfaction with the confirmation of the election victory belonging to Joe Biden and the Democratic Party.
Hundreds of people in the US were subsequently arrested for their involvement in the attack. Mr Trump was charged with four counts: “conspiracy to defraud the United States”, “conspiracy to interfere with official proceedings”, “interfere and attempt to interfere with official proceedings” and “conspiracy to defeat the rights of others”. Former President Trump has proclaimed his innocence in court.
