Vinh City: Building 5 dispersed parking spots

(Baonghean.vn) - According to the Vinh City Sidewalk Clearance Plan that has just been issued, the city will build 5 dispersed parking lots.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thang, Head of Vinh Urban Management Department, said: These parking lots are located in front of Vinh market, Truong Thi market, 2 locations on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai street and 1 location in front of Vinh City People's Committee. These parking lots were assigned to Vinh Urban Infrastructure Development and Management Joint Stock Company to plan and build in 2017.

This company is also assigned to paint sidewalk boundary lines on the streets, distinguishing between pedestrian areas and areas allowed for two-wheeled vehicles, and organizing the installation of traffic signs and directional signs; implementing traffic organization plans according to the decisions of the Provincial People's Committee and the City People's Committee. Phase 1 to be completed before April 15, 2017; Phase 2 to be completed before December 15, 2017. Organizing the painting of lane lines and temporary parking lines on the roadway (for old locations that have faded and need to be repainted). Completion time before April 15, 2017.

Also according to the plan, the Urban Management Department will preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to be responsible for: Reviewing, adjusting, and supplementing the system of traffic signs, directional signs, and traffic organization plans; Phase 1 completion time (for enforcement) before April 10, 2017; Phase 2 before November 15, 2017; Reviewing and re-planning the locations of stops and scattered parking spots along the streets (temporary parking on the roadway, lowering curbs to create scattered parking spots...). Completion time before May 4, 2017

Planning of points and streets for street vendors, snacks, late-night food, breakfast... ensuring compliance with regulations on food hygiene and safety, environment, aesthetics and not causing traffic congestion. Implementation period: From now until the end of 2017.

This department is also responsible for advising the City People's Committee to send official dispatches to agencies and units in the area requesting plans to arrange parking spaces for officials, civil servants, employees, workers and visitors to work in the headquarters premises; If there are not enough spaces, propose and agree with the city on a plan. Issue official dispatches before April 5, 2017 and complete the plan before May 15, 2017.
