Awarding the appointment decision of 4 Consuls General
Politburo member, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh has just presented the appointment decision to four Vietnamese Consuls General abroad.

Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh presented the decision to appoint Mr. Vu Ngoc Ly - Director, Chief of Office, National Border Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to hold the position of Consul General of Vietnam in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, replacing Mr. Nguyen The Cuong - Consul General, whose term has expired.
Appoint Mr. Vu Binh - Deputy Director, Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO, Ministry of Foreign Affairs to hold the position of Consul General of Vietnam in Fukuoka, Japan, replacing Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hong - Consul General, whose term has expired;
Appoint Mr. Bui Quoc Thanh - Deputy Director of the Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to hold the position of Consul General of Vietnam in Perth, Australia, replacing Mr. Phung The Long - Consul General, whose term has expired.
Appoint Mr. Vu Anh Dung - Deputy Director, Department of Propaganda, Information and Documentation, National Border Committee, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to hold the position of Consul General of Vietnam in Savanakhet, Laos, replacing Mr. Tran Cong Thinh - Consul General, whose term has expired.
Speaking at the Decision Handover Ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Binh Minh congratulated the newly appointed officials as Heads of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad; at the same time, he expressed his belief that with their experience, the new Consuls General will promote their capacity and strengths, lead the unit to successfully complete the assigned tasks, continue to build the areas they are responsible for to develop more and more, especially in consular work, citizen protection, contributing to the overall success of the country's foreign affairs.
On behalf of the new Consuls General, Mr. Vu Ngoc Ly thanked the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister and the Ministry's leadership for their trust in the appointed officials; affirmed that he will always try his best, promote his capacity, and constantly learn to do well the work and tasks assigned by the Party, State and people, to contribute to the overall success of foreign affairs./.
