Tran Dai Nghia Kindergarten: Taking personality education as the training goal

Up to this point, Khai Minh Duc Education System has just taken over Tran Dai Nghia Kindergarten for more than 2 years with nearly 200 students. All students of the school are currently studying in a campus of nearly 6,000m² at 167A Ngu Hai Street, Vinh City. The school is new, the teachers are new, but after only a short time studying, parents and students have considered this as their second home and feel secure in entrusting their children to it because of its many advantages...

Introducing Tran Dai Nghia Kindergarten, teacher Pham Thi Tuyen - Chairwoman of the school's Board of Directors did not talk much about the program, the staff, or the conditions for organizing teaching and learning. Instead, she spent time letting us feel the school through the teachers' teaching hours, watching the students' experiential activities, and attending some regular activities of students in each class. The head of the school also excitedly said: At Tran Dai Nghia Kindergarten, there are many differences and we believe that with our teaching program, the school's students will progress every day, they will be obedient, filial to their parents, respectful to their teachers, and sociable with their friends.

Like many other kindergartens, the class time of Tran Dai Nghia Kindergarten students usually starts at 8am. After breakfast, the morning greeting activity is a daily activity but is always enthusiastically participated by students. The duration of the morning greeting program usually only lasts 20 minutes, but during this time, the children gather to organize many meaningful activities such as reading the poem "Children's Rules" together. These are short poems compiled specifically for students of the Khai Minh Duc education system. Through the poems learned and read every day, students will gradually understand the principles of children such as "being filial at home", knowing how to "respect everyone", knowing how to value time, knowing how to love, knowing how to try to become a good child, a good student, a good team member.

Also in the Good Morning activity, children are taught to be grateful and thank their grandparents, parents, and loved ones in the family; and to listen to useful stories through the school radio program. Every Monday morning, the school organizes a flag salute so that all students can participate in a collective activity, sing the National Anthem together, and say loving wishes at the beginning of the day.

Perhaps, the biggest difference at Tran Dai Nghia Kindergarten compared to many other schools is the discipline and politeness in communication that teachers and students take very seriously. If you witness it, you may be surprised because right from the moment you step into the school gate, students will bow to teachers, greet the security guard, and greet adults. Parents entering the school will also receive a bow from the teachers. Strangers visiting and working with the school, teachers and students all bow instead of greeting...

In addition to focusing on personality education, students at Tran Dai Nghia Kindergarten are also trained by teachers to be independent, to share and help others, and to have teamwork skills. As simple as organizing meals for children, they will be guided in groups, one group will divide the rice, one group will set the table, and another group will prepare the dishes. During the children's meal, the teacher is only a supervisor and assistant, while the children will finish their meals. After each meal, children are aware of cleaning up the dishes, cleaning the table, and even washing the dishes...

Lessons on skills are also integrated through many collective activities, outdoor activities, and skills practice in the "skills corner". Teacher Nguyen Phuong Thao - Principal of the school also added: At Tran Dai Nghia Kindergarten, in addition to studying according to the standard program of the Ministry of Education and Training, we also integrate many other activities outside the program. The lessons are designed to be lively, close, and suitable for each age group to make children interested. After a short time studying at the school, parents will clearly see the change in their children from awareness, action to perception and children are happy and excited to go to school.

Khai Minh Duc Education System started building the first kindergarten in Hanoi in 2014 with the goal of taking moral character as the foundation, knowledge and skills are necessary to teach children to become comprehensive people. Inheriting the good traditions of the school, Tran Dai Nghia Kindergarten was also formed by people who have many years of experience in the education sector and are passionate about the profession. After 2 years of operation, with many unique advantages, Tran Dai Nghia Kindergarten is increasingly trusted and chosen by many parents. The school is also making efforts to build the school into a trusted address. Here, in addition to the team of teachers who are carefully selected, qualified and above standard, have pedagogical skills, love the profession, and love children. The school focuses on investing in building facilities, teaching equipment, building and designing programs. In addition, the school cares about children's nutrition by organizing clean meals, using completely organic foods to suit the age and development of preschool children.

Coming to Tran Dai Nghia Kindergarten, parents will also become an official member of the school's big family. Every year, the school organizes a Sports Festival to connect all parents and students of the school. To educate children well, the family and the school must be one, so during the learning process, the school regularly builds and shares educational topics for parents with many meaningful contents such as: What to teach children, Teacher-student relationship, Taking care of mothers and children, Current children's problems, Preparing children for grade 1. Every month, the school organizes events with the participation of parents such as monthly birthday ceremonies to help children better understand the virtues of their parents, each week children have a "Love Day" to be grateful to their parents, teachers, and grandparents. At the end of the school year, the school has a gratitude ceremony for students preparing to graduate, a maturity ceremony for students preparing to enter grade 1...

Talking about the school's activities, Mr. Phan Trung Phuong - senior advisor of Khai Minh Duc Education System also said: Over the past 2 years, although the revenue has not been enough to cover expenses, however, with the aim of building a comprehensive educational environment so that children can develop their personality early, becoming "a child who understands, respects seniority, precedence, precedence, inside and out, and is polite", the school still persists with its model and does not consider education as a type of business: We have two slogans about the school, which are "When personality is perfect, intelligence will blossom", "You do not just listen to what we say but watch what we do and feel the maturity of your child" and we believe that if parents have children studying at the school, they will feel that very clearly. Our joy and happiness is to see good children, good students, good citizens, useful to society.

Choosing this educational model, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the school also expressed many thoughts, which is educating children to be sincere, honest, loving, and appreciative. Teacher Pham Thi Tuyen also said: I realize that today, many families care a lot about their children, but they often direct their children to learn knowledge and skills. Knowledge and skills are necessary but not everything, if not enough. Knowledge and skills must be based on the root of a good personality so that when children grow up, they will not become selfish, lazy individuals, ungrateful, indifferent, and indifferent.

Therefore, the goal of our school is to teach children, so that from a young age they can "understand things", awakening their inherent goodness. At our school, although it has just been established, I feel happy because after a period of studying and accompanying their children at school, many parents have changed the way they educate their children, and their family life has also improved. In the long run, I think that if you teach a child to be obedient and studious, we will have a happy family, full of love. When there are many happy families, a moral and humane society will be formed from there. And perhaps, that is the desire of the Party, the State and each of us.
