"VIP" kindergarten feeds children frozen chicken
(Baonghean.vn) - Although paying 60,000 VND/day, students at Blue Sky School have to eat frozen chicken and food cooked the day before that they only eat the next day.
Nghe An Department of Education and Training has just released the results of an inspection of non-public kindergartens, through which many violations have been discovered.
Pursuant to Decision No. 1226/SGDĐT-GDMN dated November 9, 2015 of the Director of Nghe An Department of Education and Training, the inspection team inspected 4 non-public preschool facilities, including 2 kindergartens and 2 independent groups and classes in Vinh city.
Thereby, the inspection of the pilot implementation of foreign language introduction for preschool children discovered that some preschool education facilities for children to become familiar with English have not been approved by competent authorities, such as Bluesky Kindergarten; Phuong Dong Kindergarten. In addition, during the implementation process, the time allocated for children to become familiar with English was too much, affecting the implementation of the daily routine of children and the preschool education program of the Ministry, and English teachers have not met the required quality standards.

Regarding the implementation of preschool education programs: Some preschools have not seriously implemented the daily routine of children and the preschool education program prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training.
In particular, although some schools charge a very high fee for meals, the child care regime is not scientifically guaranteed, and some meals are not balanced according to regulations. The food purchase contract file still lacks the business certificate of the household owner, the contract content is too general, and lacks a list of names and unit prices of foods and items attached to the commitment contract; The food import book is recorded in multiple books and is not updated promptly; the daily menu is monotonous, lacks a variety of foods, and does not reflect the children's daily food expenses.
In particular, Blue Sky School, although the food fee is collected at 60,000 VND/day, has not used Nutrikid software to calculate food portions and balance nutrients suitable for children of each age in nursery and kindergarten; regularly uses non-fresh food (frozen industrial chicken thighs); food preparation does not ensure nutrition for children (cooking from the day before and children eat the next day).
In addition, the entire Vinh city still has 25 unlicensed nursery groups, many of which are concentrated in the wards of Hung Dung, Cua Nam, Doi Cung.... Some groups of classes have teachers who do not have a preschool education degree, and the facilities are not guaranteed (An Linh nursery group).
Speaking with Nghe An Newspaper, Ms. Le Thi Huong, Head of the Preschool Education Department, Department of Education and Training, said: The Department has requested the Vinh City Department of Education and Training, relevant units and individuals to promptly correct the limitations, and continue to inspect and direct preschool education facilities to overcome the shortcomings, and report to the Department before December 15, 2015.
