Free consultation and health check for workers

(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of Workers' Month, on the morning of May 9, Vinh City Labor Federation coordinated with the City General Hospital to organize free consultation and health check-up for workers of Nghi Yen waste treatment factory under Urban Environment One Member Co., Ltd.

With a special job, working in a toxic environment, factory workers are often exposed to waste that affects their health. To encourage and raise awareness of protecting health for themselves and the community, doctors and nurses from the City General Hospital examined and consulted 30 factory workers.

Through medical examination, initially no workers were infected with occupational diseases. However, to ensure health when working long-term in a toxic environment, officials of the City Labor Federation and doctors of the City General Hospital have reminded the management unit to increase the provision of quality labor protection equipment for workers directly collecting and processing waste. At the same time, propaganda to raise awareness and consciousness for workers about complying with regulations on using labor protection equipment.
