(Baonghean.vn) -Within the framework of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, from March 26th to 29th, 2015, at 23/9 Park – District 1 – Ho Chi Minh City, on the evening of March 27th, the artists' troupe from the Center for Preservation and Promotion of Nghe An Folk Song Heritage held a highly successful performance, delighting both locals and tourists.
The "Intangible Heritage Night" at this year's Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival featured many activities: performances of traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music (Don Ca Tai Tu), Central Highlands gong music, Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk singing, Hanoi Xam singing, and Nghe Tinh Vi Giam folk singing on the main stage during the night with the theme "Intangible Heritage Night". In particular, the Nghe Tinh Vi Giam folk singing performance program impressed with several unique pieces such as: "Returning to the Land of Vi Giam", "Waiting for a Friend with All My Heart", "Farewell Song"...
This is an important event aimed at strengthening cultural exchange and introducing the Ví Giặm folk songs of Nghe Tinh, a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity, to a large number of people and tourists participating in the festival.

In my opinion, to ensure the continuous preservation, promotion, and dissemination of Ví and Giặm folk songs effectively, it is necessary to maintain performances and promotional activities at major events (Spring Press Festival in Hanoi, Tourism Promotion Conference in Thailand, etc.)... while also linking them to tourism promotion activities at major domestic and international tourism events, with the "Intangible Heritage Night" at the festival being one example.
