(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 7, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Nghia Xuan commune (Quy Hop) solemnly held a ceremony to receive the certificate of recognition of the commune meeting New Rural standards.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Provincial Steering Committee for the National Target Program on New Rural Development, representatives of a number of provincial departments and agencies. On the district side, there were comrades: Cao Thanh Long, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee; Phan Dinh Dat - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairman of the District People's Committee, along with representatives of communes across the district and a large number of Nghia Xuan people.

After nearly 4 years of building a new rural area, Nghia Xuan commune has achieved very positive results. Despite being a difficult commune, the commune has mobilized 85.5 billion VND to build new rural criteria, of which the Central Government directly supported 1.52 billion VND; the province 21.37 billion VND; the district 9.16 billion VND; the commune 1.9 billion VND; the people contributed and donated land worth 33.18 billion VND; other sources 18.3 billion VND.
Up to now, the whole commune has 16.48 km of canals, of which 10 km have been concreted, reaching 60.7%, and 13 transformer stations/52.06 km of power lines, basically meeting the electricity demand for consumption and production for the people... As one of the communes chosen by Quy Hop district as a focal point for building new rural areas, with the high determination of the entire political system, Nghia Xuan commune has focused on directing strongly, issuing many specialized resolutions, accurate policies, good practices, creating high consensus among the people. The commune focuses on shifting the economic structure by quickly applying scientific and technological advances to production, developing diverse and rich service industries.

Although it is a mountainous commune in Region II, Nghia Xuan is one of the localities with a strong and comprehensive political system, ensuring security and order; synchronous cultural facilities, the commune has 15/15 hamlets achieving the title of Cultural Village. Currently, the commune has met national standards on health care and universal education. Thanks to creating regular jobs for over 90% of local workers, the construction of the New Rural Area has begun, the commune still has 24% poor households, the average income per capita is 11 million VND/year, but by 2015 the commune only had 6.6% poor households (148 households), the average income per capita reached 18 million VND/year.

The People's Committee of Quy Hop district also awarded certificates of merit to individuals and collectives of Nghia Xuan commune with outstanding achievements in the movement to build new rural areas.
