On the afternoon of December 28, under the chairmanship of Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting of the New-style Rural Appraisal Council to discuss, vote and recognize 3 communes meeting new style rural standards and 7 communes meeting advanced new-style rural standards in 2022.
In 2022, the Provincial People's Committee continued to direct the Steering Committees at all levels to implement the National Target Program on building new-style rural areas drastically from the provincial to grassroots levels, regularly following up and promptly remove difficulties and problems.
After registering to reach the target of meeting new-style rural and advanced new-style rural standards, with high political determination and attention as well as participation of all levels, branches and localities, positive results have been achieved. Rural areas are more spacious, greener, cleaner and more beautiful. The number of poor households in those communes which registered to meet the new-style rural criteria in Dien Chau district decreased to less than 3%.
At the meeting, members of the New-style Rural Appraisal Council of Nghe An province voted to recognize 3/3 communes meeting new-style rural standards and 7/7 communes meeting advanced new-style rural standards.
Accordingly, 3 communes that meet new-style rural standards in 2022 are: Dien Doai, Dien Van, Dien Bich (Dien Chau); 7 communes that meet the advanced new-style rural standards in 2022 are: Tan Son, Hoa Son, Trang Son, Dong Son (Do Luong) and Dien Hong, Dien Thai, Dien Nguyen (Dien Chau).
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De acknowledged the efforts of localities in implementing the National Target Program on building new-style rural areas. At the same time, he said that the communes appraised this year and eligible to be included in the voting list is an important result to complete and exceed the plan according to the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council, which specifies in 2022 there should be additional 10 communes that meet the new-style rural standards, 22 communes that meet advanced new-style rural standards and 2 districts that meet new-style rural standards.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that localities recognized as meeting standards coordinate with the New-style Rural Coordinating Office and departments to complete the dossiers as regulated. Dien Chau and Do Luong districts should continue to complete the dossiers to submit to the Central New-style Rural Appraisal Council for recognition as a new-style rural district.
Up to now, Nghe An has 302 communes meeting new-style rural standards and 27 communes meeting advanced new-style rural standards.
