Vietnam Film Festival opens in Australia.

On February 26th, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Perth, Western Australia, in collaboration with the City Council, organized a ceremony and opening of the Vietnamese Film Festival to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia (February 26, 1973 - February 26, 2013).

The celebration was attended by numerous state government officials, city council members, a delegation from the Vietnamese Consulate General, as well as friends, Vietnamese expatriates, and Vietnamese students living and studying in Western Australia. Speaking at the ceremony, Consul General Le Viet Duyen highlighted the remarkable developments in bilateral relations over the past 40 years in all fields, from economics, politics, education, science and technology to security and defense... especially since the two countries established a comprehensive partnership in 2009.
