Vietnam Film Festival opens in Australia

On February 26, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Perth, Western Australia, coordinated with the City Council to organize the Anniversary and Opening Ceremony of the Vietnam Film Festival on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia (February 26, 1973 - February 26, 2013).

Attending the ceremony were many officials of the state government, the City Council, the Vietnamese Consulate General, friends, overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese students living and studying in Western Australia. Speaking at the ceremony, Consul General Le Viet Duyen highlighted the remarkable developments in the relationship between the two countries over the past 40 years in all areas, from economics, politics, education, science and technology to security and defense... especially when the two countries established a comprehensive partnership in 2009.
