Dien Chau: Community cultural post office burned down.

This morning, May 9th, a fire broke out at the Cuong Temple Cultural Post Office in Dien An commune (Dien Chau district, Nghe An province), causing significant property damage.

According to several witnesses, at around 8 a.m. this morning, many people noticed a burning smell and went to investigate, identifying the source of the smell as the Cuong Temple Cultural Post Office. Shortly afterward, a fierce fire broke out, and residents mobilized to extinguish it while simultaneously calling the fire department.





The Nghe An Fire Department dispatched three fire trucks that traveled over 30km from Vinh City to Dien Chau to extinguish the fire.

However, many items inside the post office, such as computers, telephones, books, newspapers, and air conditioners, were completely destroyed by the fire. The ceiling and other objects were also badly damaged. In particular, a VinaPhone BTS base station located inside the post office was also completely burned and severely damaged. Initial estimates put the damage at hundreds of millions of dong.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
