(Baonghean) -The Central Steering Committee of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, led by Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Cao Viet Sinh, recently inspected the new rural construction work in Nghe An.

The delegation highly appreciated the efforts of Nghe An province over 2 years of building new rural areas to ensure the overall progress of the whole country, especially the formation of Steering Committees at all levels, propaganda work contributing to raising people's awareness, creating a social movement in building new rural areas such as donating more than 3.2 million square meters of residential land, participating in over 2.5 million working days of infrastructure construction.

However, Deputy Minister Cao Viet Sinh was very concerned about the mobilization of resources from the people being too high with nearly 3.3 trillion VND, accounting for 30% of the mobilized resources, while other places mobilized from the people about 10%. On the contrary, the mobilization from enterprises was limited, reaching only 4 out of 20% of the prescribed level, and Hoang Mai Cement Factory was not interested in participating in the construction of new rural areas. The Deputy Minister welcomed Nghe An province's mechanism to support cement for localities to build rural traffic, but was very surprised and concerned about the figure of 99 billion VND in cement support, while the cement transportation fee of 32 billion VND, accounting for 30% was too high, and needed to be clarified.
