(Baonghean.vn) - At approximately 5:30 PM on April 2nd, a major storm struck Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, killing one person and damaging many houses.
The storm completely destroyed one house, ripped off the roofs of 18 houses, and damaged two granaries. Particularly in Nam Khien 1 village, the storm caused a tree to fall and kill Mr. Lau Chu Ka (born in 1966), and injured his wife, Ms. Xong Y Lau (born in 1973), who required five stitches to her head.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen The Duong, Political Officer of Nam Can Border Guard Station (Nghe An Border Guard Command), immediately after the storm passed, Nam Can Border Guard Station mobilized most of its officers and soldiers, as well as those from working groups in the area, to return and assist the people in rebuilding houses, clearing fallen trees, ensuring traffic flow, and providing medical care for the injured. Currently, the unit's officers and soldiers are working urgently with the commune and district authorities to help the people quickly stabilize their lives.
