Nam Can Border Post helps people overcome the consequences of storms and tornadoes
(Baonghean.vn) - At around 5:30 p.m. on April 2, a large tornado occurred in Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, killing 1 person and damaging many houses.
The tornado completely collapsed a house; blew off the roofs of 18 houses and damaged 2 rice barns. Notably, in Nam Khien 1 village, the tornado caused a tree to fall and kill Lau Chu Ka (born in 1966), and injured his wife, Xong Y Lau (born in 1973), in the head, requiring 5 stitches.
Border guards help people re-roof their houses after the storm.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen The Duong - Political Commissar of Nam Can Border Post (Nghe An Border Guard), immediately after the tornado passed, Nam Can Border Post mobilized most of the officers and soldiers in the unit and working groups who were in the area to return to help people rebuild their houses, clear trees, ensure traffic, and the unit's medical staff took care of the injured. Currently, the officers and soldiers of the unit are urgently working with the commune and district authorities to actively help people quickly stabilize their lives.
