Leaders of the Ministry of Public Security inspect the work results at Nghe An Police Department

(Baonghean.vn) - On October 28, Lieutenant General To Lam, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security led a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security to visit and work at Nghe An Police. Attending and working with the delegation on the side of Nghe An province were comrades Nguyen Xuan Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Thai Van Hang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, the leaders of Nghe An Provincial Police reported to the Deputy Minister and the working delegation on the situation and results of all aspects of the Police work in the first 10 months of 2013.

In recent times, the security and order situation in Nghe An province has been quite complicated, but the provincial police force has closely followed the direction of the Ministry of Public Security, advised the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to effectively direct the work of ensuring national security and maintaining social order and safety in the locality. Along with grasping the situation and effectively fighting and preventing the activities of hostile forces, the police forces in the province have continuously launched high-profile campaigns to attack and suppress crimes; focused on effectively fighting against crimes related to social order, economy, and environment, preventing the formation of criminal organizations operating in the style of mafia and hotspots of social evils; dismantled major drug trafficking rings...

Nghe An Police have also seriously implemented solutions to improve the quality of political and ideological work, organized self-criticism and criticism in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee on "Some urgent issues in Party building today"; educated officers and soldiers to always uphold the spirit of responsibility to serve the people...

At the meeting, Nghe An Provincial Police also made recommendations and proposals to the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security on 5 issues regarding ensuring security in special areas, drug rehabilitation work and building the People's Public Security force.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister To Lam praised and highly appreciated the efforts and results of all aspects of work that Nghe An Provincial Police have achieved in the past time. The Deputy Minister requested that in the coming time, Nghe An Provincial Police need to do better in mobilizing the masses, especially in special areas; maintain and further promote the special relationship with the provinces of Laos to do well in the task of ensuring border security; do well in grasping the situation to avoid being passive and surprised; strongly fight against drug-related crimes because this is the source of other crimes... To do well in the above requirements, Deputy Minister To Lam emphasized: Nghe An Provincial Police need to focus on improving the quality and efficiency of basic professional work, giving priority to district-level police, arranging forces in accordance with the requirements and tasks of ensuring security and order assigned...

On the same day, Deputy Minister To Lam and the delegation, along with representatives of Nghe An province's leaders and provincial police leaders, offered flowers and incense to the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh at Kim Lien relic site and burned incense at the Memorial House of the late Minister of Public Security Tran Quoc Hoan in Nam Trung, Nam Dan.
