Que Phong implements spring crop production plan 2014

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of December 5, at Hanh Dich commune, Que Phong district People's Committee organized an assessment of the 2013 winter-spring crop production results and deployed the 2014 spring crop production plan.

According to the plan, in the 2014 Spring crop, Que Phong produced 2,170.5 hectares of rice; yield 53 quintals/hectare, output 11,533 tons, including nearly 1,500 hectares of hybrid rice, 200 hectares of corn; 100 hectares of peanuts and 225 hectares of cassava; in the first 6 months of the year, it raised over 24,000 buffaloes and nearly 15,000 cows; protected and protected 144,329 hectares of existing forests, and planted 700 hectares of new raw material trees and rubber.

Based on the summary of the 2013 crop and the proposals of the localities, Que Phong district has developed a general 2014 Spring crop production plan for the whole district, but also directed the arrangement of varieties and crop schedules suitable to the weather conditions and irrigation of specific sub-regions of the district. Before implementing the Spring crop production plan in the communes of the Northwest cluster, the district held a meeting to discuss the implementation in the communes of the Southwest cluster and soon the central commune cluster.

At the conference, along with solutions for regulating irrigation water, Que Phong district proposed a sowing schedule for each specific region and required localities to strictly follow the crop calendar, absolutely not sowing when the temperature is below 16 degrees.oC; Localities, stations and farms do a good job of protecting plants, preventing epidemics, keeping livestock warm, monitoring quarantine in moving areas and fully vaccinating livestock and poultry in the area.
