To keep the Soviet flame burning brightly.
(Baonghean)The Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum (XVNT) is a museum specializing in exhibitions about a significant historical event of the nation during the early years of the Communist Party of Vietnam: the Nghe Tinh Soviet Uprising of 1930-1931. It is also one of the three earliest museums established in the Vietnamese museum system. This highlights the unique position and role of the XVNT Museum in the overall development of culture, particularly in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage, while also contributing to the development of tourism in Nghe An province.

For over half a century, following President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, the staff and employees of the XVNT Museum have strived tirelessly and grown in all aspects, building the Museum into a prominent cultural institution in the preservation and promotion of Nghe An's cultural heritage. Museum staff have left their mark on every corner of the country and abroad, collecting nearly 15,000 artifacts and documents, of which one-third are original documents and artifacts. To date, the XVNT Museum has compiled dossiers for the classification of 47 XVNT relics, with 39 in Nghe An, 8 in Ha Tinh, and several other provincial-level relics. Many relics have been restored, preserved, protected, and their impact has been greatly enhanced.
The XVNT Museum has undergone seven renovations and additions to its exhibition halls, serving over 8 million domestic and international visitors, including many heads of state and leaders at all levels. Simultaneously, it has organized numerous scientific seminars and workshops, competitions on XVNT, published many research works and scientific documents, and numerous articles in the mass media…
In addition to its on-site activities, the Museum has proactively and creatively overcome difficulties to organize numerous traveling exhibitions, traditional talks, cultural exchanges, and quizzes on the history of the XVNT (XNT) throughout the two provinces of Nghe An and Ha Tinh, from mountainous regions to islands, actively participating in the initiative to bring culture to the grassroots.
The museum's facilities have been invested in and built to be spacious and well-equipped, meeting the requirements for tourism, research, and cultural activities. The staff is standardized, with 100% of the personnel holding university degrees; including a PhD in history and three Master's degrees in cultural studies…
As a bridge connecting the past with the present, between the older generation and the younger generation, the Soviet-Nghe Tinh Museum has become a very familiar landmark for visitors from all over the world, with educational significance in preserving the tradition of "leading the way" of Nghe An province, further enhancing the heroic symbol of the homeland of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh. With its achievements, the collective and individuals of the Soviet-Nghe Tinh Museum have been awarded the Third-Class Labor Medal, Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, and numerous certificates of merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the People's Committee of Nghe An province…
The achievements of the Museum today are thanks to the constant attention and guidance of the Central Party Committee, the Government, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, the support of various sectors and levels, revolutionary veterans, scientists, and the tireless efforts of generations of museum staff and employees.
However, it must be frankly admitted that the number of visitors and researchers to the Soviet-Nghe Tinh Museum is currently not as high as desired. This prompts each of us to reflect and find solutions to bring the Museum closer to the public.
The XVNT Museum needs to find the best forms of operation to continuously strengthen its special educational role and function on the ideological and cultural front, contributing to affirming Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thought, the Party's guidelines, and actively contributing to the renewal cause initiated and led by our Party. The XVNT Museum should immediately conduct research and advise the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on revising and upgrading the permanent exhibition system, applying scientific and technological achievements and modern exhibition techniques to enhance the persuasiveness, vibrancy, and attractiveness of the museum. It should strengthen field visits, research and coordinate with art units, the Provincial Cultural Center, and district cultural and sports centers to regularly organize cultural activities, innovate mobile exhibition formats, cultural exchanges, and traditional storytelling related to each locality, unit, and school… in order to achieve high and practical effectiveness.
Actively coordinate with the Education and Training sector to implement the plan to bring the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum into schools in Nghe An and continue working to implement the plan to bring the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum into schools in Ha Tinh. Proactively coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, agencies, units, and schools to bring people to the Museum and bring the Museum to people. Attention should be paid to researching and organizing suitable service types, and closely coordinating with the Tourism sector to make the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum a regular destination for tourists from inside and outside the province. Through healthy cultural activities, entertainment, and recreation, create an attractive environment to draw people to the Museum. More attention must be paid to the training and development of cadres and staff, building strong and clean Party branches, agencies, and trade unions, providing a solid foundation for the development of professional activities.
Building upon a tradition of over half a century of construction and development, and leveraging the honor of being the only museum in the country to have President Ho Chi Minh's preface signed by him, so that the flame of the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement always burns brightly in the hearts of every Nghe An citizen, spreading strongly to compatriots nationwide and international friends, each staff member of the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum needs to strive to further enhance their capabilities, intellect, qualities, and work style, creating profound changes in all museum activities, bringing the museum's operations to a new level, worthy of the affection of our beloved President Ho Chi Minh and the spirit and courage of the heroic Nghe Tinh Soviet soldiers.
