Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of National Defense Education (Vinh University)

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of December 21st, Vinh University held a ceremony to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of National Defense Education and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Vinh National Defense and Security Education Center. The ceremony was attended by Associate Professor Dr. Dinh Xuan Khoa - the Rector of the university.

The Ministry of National Defence awarded a certificate of commendation to the Center for National Defence and Security Education.

With its functions and responsibilities of developing national defense education plans, providing national defense and security knowledge training for full-time students; organizing military pedagogical scientific research, and compiling textbooks and reference materials on national defense and security education, the Faculty of National Defense Education has excellently fulfilled its mission of educating students on national defense and security science within the university. Since 2003 alone, the Faculty of National Defense Education, now the Vinh National Defense and Security Education Center, has trained nearly 500 high school teachers in physical education, national defense education, national defense politics, and national defense and security; and has conducted 17 short-term national defense education teacher training courses, with nearly 1200 high school teachers participating. This contributes to Vinh University's goal of comprehensive education for generations of students, preparing them to fulfill the two strategic tasks of national construction and defense.

On this occasion, the Center had 3 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in education and training who were awarded commendations by the Prime Minister. The Ministry of National Defense awarded a commendation to the Vinh National Defense and Security Education Center.
