Underground hotels attract visitors during Valentine's Day.
Located deep underground in a forest a short distance from Stockholm, Sweden, the hotel is a fascinating destination for couples as Valentine's Day approaches.
Many tourists from all over the world have signed up to experience a night in an underground hotel, completely isolated from the outside world. Life in this underground hotel means there are no toilets or showers. However, it is no less attractive to tourists.
Since its opening in 2006, thousands of people have stayed overnight here. Historically, this site extracted vast amounts of silver over the centuries, starting in the 15th century, making it the world's most profitable silver mine. In 1962, when the silver ran out, it quickly became a tourist attraction.

Ms. Maaike Ouwehand, who runs the hotel's tour services, shared: "If you come here to relax, it's like attending a meditation retreat; it helps you regain your balance. The atmosphere here is especially quiet and relaxing."
Above ground, there's a building and a small museum showcasing the area's golden age. Visitors can explore it and take an elevator down 155 meters underground to reach the hotel.
Notably, there is an underground lake, approximately 30 meters wide and very deep, perfect for tourists who enjoy diving. The cost per night is around $652 USD: a complimentary fruit basket is included, and there will be 24-hour security in case of emergencies. Currently, hotel rooms for Valentine's Day on February 14th are fully booked.
