The accident occurred at 6:00 AM on April 10th at a level crossing in Hamlet 12, Nghi Kim Commune, Vinh City. At that time, a four-seater taxi driven by Nguyen Van Danh (born in 1991), residing in Hamlet 7, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City, was crossing the railway tracks from National Highway 1A when it was suddenly struck by an oncoming train, sending it off the tracks.
