Train hits taxi, 2 people hospitalized

(Baonghean.vn)- While crossing a railway crossing, a taxi was suddenly hit by a train and thrown off the road. The driver and one passenger were injured.

The accident occurred at 6:00 a.m. on April 10 on a residential road crossing in Hamlet 12, Nghi Kim Commune, Vinh City. At that time, a 4-seat taxi driven by driver Nguyen Van Danh (born in 1991), residing in Hamlet 7, Nghi Phu Commune, Vinh City, was traveling from National Highway 1A across the railway when it was suddenly hit by a train and thrown off the tracks.

The train crash caused the taxi to fly off the level crossing. Driver and passenger Tran Anh Tuan (born 1973) from Quy Chau district were injured. The 4-seat taxi's rear was crushed. The passenger train was also affected and had to stop to handle the incident.

Immediately after the incident, authorities were present to direct traffic and investigate the cause of the accident. The train continued its journey at 9am the same day.
