The Venerable Abbot and local leaders received the decision to restore the temple from the Religious Affairs Department - Department of Internal Affairs.

Hong Phuc Pagoda, located in Nghi Long commune, Nghi Loc district, is an ancient pagoda with a long history. However, due to the vicissitudes of history and the ravages of war, the pagoda has been damaged, deteriorated, and some valuable artifacts have been lost. Currently, only the foundation and remnants of an ancient pagoda remain. To meet the spiritual and religious needs of monks, nuns, and Buddhists near and far, and to restore the original value of Hong Phuc Pagoda, the People's Committee of Nghe An province issued Decision No. 129/QD-UBND-NC dated January 10, 2013, approving the restoration of the Buddhist facility (Hong Phuc Pagoda). In early April 2014, the Executive Board of the Buddhist Association of Nghe An province officially appointed Venerable Thich Chau Phong as the abbot of the pagoda.

At the grand ceremony, the 2014 Buddha's Birthday ritual also took place. Monks and delegates, along with hundreds of monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers, participated in chanting prayers for family well-being, offering flowers to celebrate Buddha's birthday, performing the ritual of offering incense and flowers to the Buddha, conducting the traditional Buddha bathing ceremony, and releasing balloons and doves to pray for national peace and prosperity.

On this occasion, Hong Phuc Pagoda, in coordination with the People's Committee of Nghi Long commune, presented 15 gifts to poor but academically excellent students at Nghi Long Primary School and Nghi Long Secondary School, each gift worth 350,000 VND.
