Bat Nha Pagoda celebrates the 2014 Buddha's Birthday.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of May 16th, Bat Nha Pagoda in Quynh Xuan Ward (Hoang Mai Town) solemnly celebrated the Buddha's Birthday, Buddhist calendar 2558 – Gregorian calendar 2014.

The ceremony included traditional Buddha's Birthday rituals such as: offering flowers to the Buddha, chanting prayers for blessings, bathing the Buddha statue, releasing animals, releasing doves and peace balloons. Most notably, the bathing of the Buddha statue was performed by monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers in a solemn and respectful atmosphere. With joy and a wish for peace and fulfillment for everyone, in keeping with the spirit of the Vietnamese Buddhist Church, this year's Buddha's Birthday celebration at Bat Nha Pagoda attracted over 700 monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers from neighboring communes and districts.

On this occasion, Bat Nha Pagoda donated 10 million VND to the Hoang Mai Town Education Promotion Fund and 10 million VND to the town's fund for the poor.
