Using knives and swords to slash each other, 2 people in critical condition

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 13, Quynh Luu district police said that the agency is temporarily detaining a group of young men who had fought and used knives and swords to slash each other, causing two people to be hospitalized in critical condition.

The incident occurred in the early morning of April 12 in Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district. The group of people who fought and even used weapons to slash and kill each other were all young people living in the area.

Mr. Thai Ba Hai - Chief of Son Hai Commune Police said that at around 2 am on April 12, he received information from local people that a group of more than 20 young men were fighting in front of the gate of the commune's secondary school. Upon receiving the information, the Commune Police Department quickly arrived at the scene to resolve the incident. However, after arriving, the group of young men quickly fled the scene. Among the group of young men who quickly fled, there were 2 young men left lying in a pool of blood with injuries all over their bodies. Immediately, local people took the 2 young men to the Quynh Luu District General Hospital for emergency treatment, then transferred them to Nghe An 115 Hospital.

At the scene, evidence collected included 5 knives, a 1 meter long sword; 2 wooden sticks over 1 meter long and a number of other weapons. That same night, the commune police collected evidence of the case and went to households to persuade a number of young people to surrender.

By the morning of the same day, 9 young men in a group called “Hoi Ben Cang” had surrendered to the police station. After that, 4 other young men continued to surrender. In the group of young men, the leader of the gang was Pham Van Quan (born in 1995).

At the police station, the group of "Port Association" stated that in the early morning of April 12, after eating porridge at night in Quynh Ngoc commune, returning through the gate of Son Hai secondary school, they met another group of about 9 to 10 young men walking on the street, then both sides argued and then slashed each other. As a result, Tran Van Cuong (born in 1990) was slashed on the left side of his hip by Tran Van Ha (born in 1995), causing Cuong to collapse on the spot, blood flowing all over the street. Nguyen Van Thanh (born in 1992) was slashed on the left arm by Tran Van Tien (born in 1992), causing Thanh to suffer a severed tendon. Several other subjects suffered minor injuries due to the collision.

At the police station, Le Viet Luu (born in 1984), one of the young men in the "Port Association" group, stated: Because previously, both groups had had conflicts and disagreements with each other, so whenever they met on the street, they would quarrel and find ways to kill each other. This led to the serious incident that occurred on the morning of April 12.

Currently, 11 subjects who surrendered have been transferred by the commune police to Quynh Luu district police to take statements and continue to investigate and clarify the case.
