Two people are in critical condition after fighting with knives and swords.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 13th, the police of Quynh Luu district announced that they are temporarily detaining a group of young men who were involved in a fight, using knives and swords to attack each other, resulting in two people being hospitalized in critical condition.

The incident occurred in the early morning of April 12th in Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu district. The group involved in the fight, which even involved using weapons to slash and kill each other, were all young men residing in the area.

According to Mr. Thai Ba Hai, the head of the Son Hai commune police, at around 2:00 AM on April 12th, they received a report from residents that a group of more than 20 young men were fighting in front of the commune's secondary school. Upon receiving the report, the commune police quickly arrived at the scene to handle the incident. However, upon arrival, the group of young men quickly fled. Among those who escaped, two young men remained lying in a pool of blood with multiple injuries. Residents immediately took the two young men to the Quynh Luu District General Hospital for emergency treatment, and then transferred them to the 115 Hospital in Nghe An.

At the scene, the evidence seized included 5 knives, a 1-meter-long sword, 2 wooden sticks over 1 meter long, and several other weapons. That same night, the commune police collected evidence of the case and went to the households to persuade some young men to surrender.

By the morning of the same day, nine young men from a group calling themselves "Harbor Gang" had surrendered to the police. Subsequently, four more young men also turned themselves in. The leader of this group was Pham Van Quan (born in 1995).

At the police station, the "Harbor Gang" group confessed that in the early morning of April 12th, after eating late-night porridge in Quynh Ngoc commune, they were returning home and passing through the gate of Son Hai Secondary School when they encountered another group of 9 to 10 young men walking on the road. A fight ensued, leading to a knife attack. As a result, Tran Van Cuong (born in 1990) was slashed in the left hip by Tran Van Ha (born in 1995), causing him to collapse on the spot with blood flowing profusely on the road. Nguyen Van Thanh (born in 1992) was slashed in the left arm by Tran Van Tien (born in 1992), severing a tendon. Several other individuals sustained minor injuries due to the collision.

At the police station, Le Viet Luu (born in 1984), one of the young men in the "Harbor Gang," confessed: Due to previous conflicts and disagreements between the two groups, they would quarrel and seek revenge whenever they met on the road. This led to the serious incident that occurred on the morning of April 12th.

Currently, 11 individuals who have turned themselves in have been transferred by the commune police to the Quỳnh Lưu district police for questioning and further investigation into the case.
