Without captain Thiago Silva or star player Neymar, Brazil still entered the match with great determination. Immediately after the opening whistle, the yellow-clad players surged into Germany's half and pressed the visitors. But Brazil resembled a candle in the wind, flaring up briefly before fading away.

After a brief period of excitement, Brazil suddenly became a mediocre team against the composure of the Germans. In a disadvantageous position, Germany knew how to capitalize on set pieces to score. In the 11th minute, from a corner kick, Kroos delivered the ball to Mueller, allowing the German striker to comfortably tap it in to open the scoring.

The early goal conceded shattered all the morale of the Brazilian players, replacing it with utter disarray. The yellow walls created by the Brazilian fans at the Mineirao stadium thus became an immense pressure on the home team.

Hàng thủ Brazil chơi rất tệ ở trận này
Brazil's defense played very poorly in this match.

Ironically, the more disorganized Brazil became, the more confident Germany grew. The German team's subsequent fluid attacking moves opened up a path to Cesar's goal. From the 23rd to the 26th minute, in just 179 seconds, the German players "conquered" the Mineirao stadium with three easy goals. In the 23rd minute, Mueller released the ball intelligently in the penalty area for Klose to score his 16th World Cup goal. Immediately in Germany's next attack, Lahm crossed the ball for Kroos to finish, beating Cesar. In the 26th minute, Kroos combined with Khedira in a training-ground-like move to tear apart Brazil's defense and increase the score to 4-0.

But Brazil's nightmare didn't end there. In the 29th minute, another flawless combination play by Germany, this time with Oezil passing the ball to Khedira who calmly tapped it in to make it 5-0. Trailing by five goals in less than a third of the match, Brazil collapsed in a way no one could have predicted.

Klose's goal went down in World Cup history.

Falling behind 0-5 so quickly made the remaining minutes of the match a torture for the Brazilian players. They tried to fight back in the early minutes of the second half, but their weakness was further highlighted by numerous careless missed opportunities. Then, Andre Schuerrle punished Brazil with the sixth and seventh goals in the 69th and 79th minutes. It wasn't until the 90th minute that Oscar pulled one back for Brazil, but it offered no redeeming pride for the home team.

Brazil-Germany: 1-7. The highly anticipated semi-final between Brazil and Germany ended in a scenario nobody expected. Brazil was plunged into tears and despair. For the Germans, it was boundless joy, as they are now just one win away from the World Cup trophy.
