Without captain Thiago Silva, without the spirit of Neymar, Brazil still entered the match with determination. Right after the opening whistle, the yellow-shirted players rushed into the German field and pressed the visitors. But Brazil reminded people of a candle in the wind, flaring up for a moment and then going out.

After a few minutes of excitement, Brazil suddenly became a mediocre team in front of the Germans' mettle. In a losing game, Germany knew how to take advantage of set pieces to score points. In the 11th minute, from a corner kick, Kroos passed the ball to Mueller's position so that the best scorer of the Tank could comfortably tap the ball in to open the score.

The early goal caused all the morale of the Brazilian players to disappear. Instead, there was utter confusion. The yellow walls that the Brazilian fans created at the Mineirao stadium also became a huge pressure on the home team.

Ironically, the more confused Brazil became, the more confident Germany became. The elegant attacks of the Panzers opened up the path to Cesar's goal. From minute 23 to minute 26, in just 179 seconds, the German players "collapsed" the Mineirao stadium with 3 easy goals. Minute 23, Mueller passed the ball reasonably in the penalty area for Klose to score his 16th goal in World Cup history. In Germany's next attack, Lahm crossed for Kroos to finish into Cesar's net. Minute 26, it was Kroos' turn to coordinate like a practice match with Khedira to tear apart Brazil's defense to raise the score to 4-0.

But Brazil's nightmare did not stop there. In the 29th minute, another seemingly empty-handed combination from Germany, this time Oezil passed the ball to Khedira who gently tapped the ball to raise the score to 5-0. Losing 5 goals after less than 1/3 of the match, Brazil collapsed in a way that no one expected.

Being led 0-5 so quickly made the remaining minutes of the match a torture for the Brazilian players. They tried to recover in the first minutes of the second half but showed their weakness even more with many missed opportunities. Then Andre Schuerrle punished Brazil with the 6th and 7th goals in the 69th and 79th minutes. It was not until the 90th minute that Oscar scored a goal for Brazil but it did not restore any honor to the home team.

Brazil-Germany: 1-7. The much-anticipated semi-final between Brazil and Germany ended in a scenario that no one expected. The whole of Brazil was drowned in tears and despair. As for the Germans, it was boundless joy, as they were now just one win away from the gold cup.
