(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 8, the Culture - Social Committee of the Provincial People's Council conducted a survey on the implementation of regulations on prices of some medical examination and treatment services according to Resolution No. 56/2012/NQ-HDND of the province at the Southwest Regional General Hospital.

The Southwest Regional General Hospital is a level III hospital, performing the task of examining and treating patients in the districts of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, and Anh Son. Implementing the regulations on prices of some medical examination and treatment services according to the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council issued in 2012, the hospital has deployed and publicized them at the medical examination department for patients and people to know and agree to implement. The hospital has also taken measures to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment such as purchasing and adding beds, blankets, mosquito nets, pillows; waiting chairs, electric fans in departments; strengthening inspection of professional work, especially the quality of medical records, prescriptions, diagnosis and treatment, patient care procedures, ensuring increased benefits for patients.

However, the implementation of Resolution 56 of the Provincial People's Council and Decision 72 of the Provincial People's Committee on regulating the prices of some medical services is also revealing some difficulties for hospitals. For example, there are some service lists included in Circular 23 of the Ministry of Health but not according to the province's regulations, causing difficulties in the price setting for settlement for the health insurance agency. Some technical unit prices are lower than the actual implementation of the hospital. In addition, the survey team also recorded some recommendations related to the procedures for settlement of health insurance regime, which are causing difficulties for the hospital. The team of doctors is still lacking, and there are not many highly qualified doctors, affecting the quality of medical examination and treatment for the people.
