Quynh Luu: Opening of mushroom cultivation training course.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 10th, in Quynh Hoa commune, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Quynh Luu district, in coordination with the Bac Nghe An Vocational and Technical College, organized the opening ceremony of a mushroom cultivation training course for rural laborers in accordance with Government Decision 1956.

The class, consisting of 35 students who are members of the Women's Association and the Farmers' Association of Quynh Hoa commune, will receive instruction from teachers at the Bac Nghe An Vocational and Technical College on cultivating various types of mushrooms such as wood ear mushrooms, straw mushrooms, and oyster mushrooms. The class will run for three months, from October 1st to December 3rd, 2014. The class is funded by the vocational training program for rural laborers, providing completely free training for students. Individuals such as poor households, those with meritorious service to the revolution, farmers whose land has been confiscated, ethnic minorities, and people with disabilities will receive an additional 15,000 VND per day of training.

During the vocational training, in addition to theoretical knowledge, trainees will practice mushroom cultivation, selecting materials and supplies, constructing workshops, watering, caring for, and harvesting mushrooms using proper techniques. After completing the course, the school will coordinate with Quynh Hoa commune to conduct a field survey to proceed with large-scale mushroom production, creating additional income for farmers.
