Quynh Luu: Opening of mushroom growing class

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 10, in Quynh Hoa commune, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Quynh Luu district coordinated with the Bac Nghe An Vocational College of Economics and Technology to organize the opening ceremony of a mushroom growing technique class for rural workers according to Decision 1956 of the Government.

The class consists of 35 students who are members of the Women's Union and Farmers' Union of Quynh Hoa commune. Teachers from the Bac Nghe An Vocational College of Economics and Technology will teach them skills in growing mushrooms such as wood ear mushrooms, straw mushrooms, button mushrooms, etc. The class will take place over a period of 3 months from October 1 to December 3, 2014. The class fee is taken from the vocational training fund for rural workers, which is completely free for students. Subjects such as poor households, people with meritorious services to the revolution, farmers whose land has been recovered, ethnic minorities and the disabled will receive an additional 15,000 VND/school day.

During the apprenticeship, in addition to theoretical knowledge, students will practice how to grow mushrooms, choose raw materials, supplies, build workshops, water, care for and harvest mushrooms to ensure proper techniques... After completing the course, the school will coordinate with Quynh Hoa commune to conduct field surveys to conduct mass mushroom production, creating additional income for farmers.
