(Baonghean.vn) - Returning home drunk after a night out, the couple argued and had a conflict. Unable to control his anger, the husband poured gasoline on his wife, causing a fierce fire. Hearing the screams, neighbors rushed to help, and the wife was immediately taken to the Military Hospital of the 4th Military Region for emergency treatment in critical condition.

After pouring gasoline on his wife, Tien suffered internal bleeding and was rushed to Nghe An General Hospital for emergency treatment.

At approximately 10:30 AM on November 7th, Pham Van Tien, born in 1979 and residing in Hamlet 12, Nghi Phong Commune, Nghi Loc District, returned home drunk and staggering into the house. He encountered his wife, Nguyen Thi Nguyen, cooking in the kitchen. Seeing her husband intoxicated, Ms. Nguyen raised her voice, and they argued. Overwhelmed by alcohol and unable to control his anger, Tien poured gasoline on his wife. Because Ms. Nguyen was standing near the stove, the flames quickly spread and engulfed her in a fierce fire.

Hearing the screams, neighbors living nearby rushed over, shouting to put out the fire. Immediately afterward, Ms. Nguyen was taken to the 4th Military District Hospital for emergency treatment. Doctors said that Ms. Nguyen suffered severe burns to both hands, her back, and buttocks. Due to the severity of the injuries and the risk of infection, she was transferred to the National Burn Institute in Hanoi that same afternoon for further treatment.

Upon receiving the report, the Nghi Loc District Police promptly arrived at the scene and detained Tien for questioning.

During the investigation, due to a pre-existing condition of cirrhosis, Tiến unexpectedly suffered an internal hemorrhage on the evening of November 8th and was transferred by the police to Nghệ An General Hospital for emergency treatment.

It is known that Tien and his wife have two children together, the older one is 6 years old and the younger one is 4 years old.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation by the authorities.
